My Approach

My approach to therapy is holistic, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. I meet you where you are, offering a space that feels supportive, safe, and empowering. Together, We will explore the experiences that brought you here. Whether you are feeling stuck, navigating transitions, working through past trauma, or seeking a deeper connection to yourself.

I blend evidence-based modalities like EMDR and Brainspotting with somatic practices, mindfulness, parts work and trauma-informed care. This means we don’t just talk about what’s happening, we gently listen to what your body is telling us too. I believe the body holds powerful wisdom, and incorporating mind-body approaches can lead to deeper, more lasting transformation. My social work background is the foundation to taking into account not just you as a person, also everything else that makes you up.

In our work, you can expect a mix of gentle guidance, deep listening, and tools you can use in your daily life. My goal is to help you build awareness, reconnect with your inner strength, and feel more grounded and whole.

Ultimately, healing is about connection- connection to your thoughts, emotions, body, and the world around you. I am here to walk alongside you on that journey with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that growth is always possible.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven, body-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing experiences. It’s different from traditional talk therapy because it focuses on helping your brain reprocess difficult memories, so they no longer feel overwhelming.

During an EMDR session, we will use eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation (like tapping) to help your brain process stuck memories. This process mimics the way your brain naturally heals during sleep, allowing you to move through and release whatever might need to be processed and released.

EMDR is especially helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and even negative beliefs or patterns. It’s a powerful approach that works at a deeper level to help you feel more grounded, calm, and in control.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a gentle yet powerful therapy that helps you process and release trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain stored deep in the body and mind. It is based on the idea that where you look can help access unprocessed experiences.

In a session, we will find a “brainspot”- a specific point in your field of vision that connects to what you are feeling. By focusing on that spot and tuning into your body, you can unlock and release what has been stuck, allowing healing to happen naturally and at your own pace.

Brainspotting is especially helpful for trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and stress. It is a body-based approach that bypasses the thinking mind, going straight to where deeper healing occurs.
